Accelerating FemTech is a new initiative which will support innovators to boost the development of technological solutions to address current challenges in women’s health. This programme is led by the Health Innovation Network South London, with Innovate UK funding in collaboration with the Medical Research Council, and is being supported by a number of UK partners.
This 10-week support programme is for small / medium-sized companies, and university spin-outs and academic entrepreneurs from across the UK, that have early-stage innovations addressing current challenges in women’s health.
Building on the Health Innovation Network South London’s experience of running the successful first cohort of Accelerating FemTech and the award-winning DigitalHealth.London Accelerator, the programme will provide companies developing products to solve women’s health challenges with bespoke support through expert-led workshops and mentoring. It will support them to develop their product offering, understand the challenges in the women’s health space, grow entrepreneurship skills and engage with key stakeholders across the NHS and academic landscape. The programme will be delivered in a hybrid format, with two days of face-to-face workshops in London in November and two days of face-to-face in January, as well as a showcase in London in March, supplemented by online support, workshops and coaching.
The programme will also support the companies to apply to a closed Innovate UK Biomedical Catalyst call in April 2025, to enable their commercial and technical feasibility.

The deadline for applications is 23:59 on Sunday 13 October 2024 . If you are successful in the online application stage, you will be invited for a short virtual interview in the week of 28 October - 1 November 2024.
